Viel Spaß und viel Glück (Much fun and much luck)

Ten students from CGHS attended the State German Convention February 26-27.  The SGC is an opportunity for high school German students from throughout Georgia to come together and speak German, participate in competitions, and meet college professors.  This year, 415 students from 26 schools attended the Convention.

 Of the ten Central students who attended this year, five won individual awards.  Hali S. won 2nd place on the General Knowledge Test; Sara F. won 3rd place for Vocabulary Bee; Emma H. won 2nd place for poetry Recitation; and Felecia P. and Kenan S. won 1st place for Obstacle Course.  The Obstacle Course is an activity in which one student is blindfolded and the partner explains in German how to maneuver through the course.  Other students attending were Hunter M., Steven H., Daniel G., Noah M., and Jeremy T.
